If you are looking for a web design company to help you with your online business, be sure you don’t get ripped off by choosing the wrong one. There are many web design businesses on the web that claim they can do a lot for you but they cannot. Companies to avoid are those that claim they will perform monthly maintenance, can give you a number one rank, and who cannot provide results.
Once a business website is up and running it doesn’t need monthly maintenance or changes to it unless you change your web pages on a daily basis. Many companies won’t make a single change to a web page in two years. Their website will be up and running and they are paying a monthly fee of close to $150 for maintenance. What type of maintenance needs to be done on a website that requires no changes? Absolutely nothing! Never trust a company that says they need a monthly maintenance fee unless you want changes on a regular basis. The only thing you should be paying for are the changes. No maintenance is required for a website and it is a silly but fraudulent charge that most businesses don’t realize. If you are paying a monthly maintenance fee for your website, ask the design company what they are maintaining and what they actually did that month. Hopefully, you didn’t sign a long term contract agreeing to these bogus terms.
A web design company cannot give you a number one page rank. You might sell corrugated cardboard edge protectors and a design company might tell you that your edge protector business can be number one on the search engine if you use them. If you hear a marketer tell you they can get you number one, tell them to get lost. A number one search rank is almost impossible unless you are paying millions of dollars and buying the word directly from the search engine. A marketer is not going to do anything for you but work hard to get you as high as possible. If a marketer tells you they will do their best to get you as high as possible, they are being honest and you can trust them.
Many web design marketing companies offer custom packaging solutions but don’t offer the results. They may claim that they have done tons of things for your business and charged you thousands of dollars in the meantime. You might see a few articles here and there and the content on your website has changed. However, can they prove to you that positive things have happened? Can they show you statistics? You need to see positives. Not only should you actually see more revenues from sales, but you need to see a report. If the marketing firm cannot provide results, do not trust them.
Choosing a marketing company today can be difficult because there are thousands of people online trying to find ways to make money. Everyone claims to be a marketer and have the ability to do things for you that cannot be done and charge you for things that are not even going on. Be careful when you hire an online marketer.
